Pics of Nine Mile Canyon.. - samplerock - 01-14-2007 06:54 PM
I just thought I'd post a few pics of the Nine Mile Canyon area.
Nine mile's my @&&! More like 40 mile!
NMC is considered the longest art gallery in the world.
"The Hunt" is the 2nd most popular drawing in Utah.
From Price going north you can see many formations,
Neslen-price River-Wasatch-Green River(surface at the top).
There is a small airport at the top.
Many animals live here...Elk, Deer, Coyote, Rattle Snakes, Bear, Bald Eagle, very large Bull Snakes, .
Home of the Freemont Indians-there is a village with a 3ft log buffalo
painting you can check out.
The canyons are incredible!

[attachment=53]Camping is premitted on the top bluffs. Not in the Canyon its self. I stayed here for 5 weeks, swamp cooler, generator, dvd, queen bed, Was better than the house I was staying in at the Rig.
[attachment=55]Big Buffalo...Freemont Village
[attachment=57]Typical driving view.
[attachment=62]Old trading post near the Green River, look, they upgraded to wood at some time or another.

I guess you have loads of fun there. I loved all the picture you have shared here. Most beautiful place in earth, having all scenario and camping, cannoning, construction tents seems more lively to place where we can enjoy beautiful scene and camping with friends and family. :D
